“Four alarms older than my grandchildren came down and new ones went up. Brandi pressed every test button while I stood there, and the instructions were in print I could read.”
Small electrical jobs, done in one visit
Smoke alarms, doorbells, cameras, locks and night lights, fitted at the house and explained until you are comfortable. Book for yourself, or for a parent.
Who is the visit for?
- Licensed and insured

The jobs
What I do in one visit
Each one is a single trip. I bring the hardware, or fit what you bought, and test it before I go.
Smoke and CO alarms
I take down the old ones, fit new ones where they are needed, and press every test button before I leave.
A video doorbell
I fit it, join it to your Wi-Fi, and put the app on your phone so you can see who is at the door.
Cameras and a porch light
A camera over the back door, a motion light by the steps, each aimed at your own property.
Keypad and smart locks
I fit the lock to the door you have, set it up with you, and leave the steps in large print.
Night lights for stairs and halls
Lights that come on when someone walks by, so nobody feels along the wall for a switch at night.
Outlets and switches
A loose or worn outlet replaced, a safer outlet near a sink, a switch that works from both ends of the hall.
A visit, start to finish
I explain it before I touch it
You should never have to guess what is happening in your own house. I say what I am going to do, I do it while you are there, and I show you how it works when I am done.
What happens
I look at the job and tell you the plan in plain words.
I put the new hardware in, and test it with you standing there.
I show you how it works, on your own phone if it needs one.
I leave a one-page guide in large print, and a number to call.

For families
Booking a visit for a parent
If you live across town, or across the country, you can arrange it. This is how a family booking goes.
- 01
You send the basics
Your parent's name, the address and the best number to call. A text is enough.
- 02
I call your parent
I phone them myself, say who I am, and agree a time that suits them.
- 03
The visit
You can be on the phone, or not. The price is written down before any work, and your parent keeps a copy.
- 04
Afterward
If you ask, I text or call you a short note on what was done.
In their words
What customers and their families say
“I live two states away and my mother does not let strangers in. Brandi phoned her first, they picked a Tuesday, and I got a text afterward with what she had done.”
“The doorbell went up, the app went on my father's phone, and she showed him how to see the porch. Then, with his okay, she showed me how to look in from my own phone.”
Sample reviews.
Who comes to your door
Two people, and you meet both first
Brandi Bridges
Owner and electrician
Brandi books every visit and does most of the work herself. She phones first-time customers before she comes, and a family member too if you ask.
Frank Lambert
Electrician
Frank joins for ladder work and longer installs. Brandi tells you ahead of time when he is coming.

Questions
Before you book
Can you come when my parent is home alone?
Yes. I phone your parent first, agree a time that suits them, and tell them who is coming. You can be on the phone during the visit, or not.
What if I'm not sure which alarm or doorbell to buy?
Don't buy anything yet. I can bring hardware, or fit what you already have, and I explain the choice before I put anything on the wall.
Do you do emergency work?
No. I book visits in office hours. If you see flames or smell smoke, call 911. If an outlet or switch is hot, sparking or scorched, and it is safe to reach the panel, turn off that breaker, then call me.
How do I see your license?
The license line is at the bottom of every page. The state's own lookup page shows whether it is current.
Can I pay for my mother's visit?
Yes. Say so when you book. I still ask your mother's okay on the work, and I write the price down for both of you.
