Lights and outlets
Easy to see, easy to reach
The small things in a house wear out slowly. A switch that sticks, an outlet that is loose, a hall nobody can see at night. Each is a short visit.
Signs it is time
A plug falls out of the outlet.
A switch crackles, sticks or feels warm.
The stairs are dark at night.
An outlet near the sink has no reset button.
You have to walk across a dark room to find the light.

The visit
What happens when I come
- 01
I turn off the power
I shut off the circuit I am working on and test that it is off.
- 02
I replace or add
A new outlet, a new switch, or a motion light on the stairs, fitted to the box that is there.
- 03
I check the rest of the room
I look at the other outlets and switches on that wall and tell you what I see.
- 04
I test and tidy
I test the outlets, label what I touched, and sweep up before I go.

Questions
Questions about this visit
My outlet is warm or has a burn mark. What do I do?
Stop using it. If it is safe to reach the panel, turn off that breaker. If you see flames or smell smoke, leave and call 911. Then call or text me.
Why do I need a GFCI outlet by the sink?
A GFCI outlet shuts off quickly if electricity goes where it should not, which matters near water. I check which outlets in your kitchen and bathrooms have one.
Can you put lights on the stairs?
Yes. I can fit motion lights that come on when someone walks by, or add a switch at the other end.
Do you replace a whole room's wiring?
No. If a job is bigger than one visit, I tell you and write the quote for it.
Book a lights or outlets visit
Tell me what is not working, and where in the house. A photo helps.
